Moonlight Leaves

by Victoria Crawford

In my garden moonlight flows
Green and gold, it softly glows.
Reflecting sunlight, starlight
Delicate reflection shows.

Leaves like an airy daydream
Where dancing fairies teem,
Not imprisoned in my garden
Where they glisten and gleam.

Like Omar and wine and tree,
What greater joy could there be
Than to see the moonlight play
Of light on leaves performed for me.

Tender illumination,
Dreamer’s imagination
