Photographers Comment:
I noticed these students playing Holi not far from their MVJ College campus, in Bangalore, and it was a pleasure to find that it was a mixed group of young adults. You’ll generally see only men playing or mixed clusters of little children, so this picture represents not only the fun of the festival but also a stride in reducing the gender gap.
This issue introduces nine writers, poets or artists new to the journal. Thanks to all of you and good luck in your future writing, poetry and art careers. We would like to also thank all the regular writers, poets and artists contributing to this issue who have featured in Eastlit before. The original Eastlit March 2016 cover design is by Graham Lawrence.
