Afzal Moolla
Afzal Moolla was born in Delhi, India while his parents were in exile, fleeing Apartheid South Africa. He then travelled wherever his parent’s work took them and he still feels that he hasn’t stopped travelling. Afzal works and lives in Johannesburg, South Africa and shares his literary musings with his most strident critic – his 12 year old cat.
Andrew J. West
Andrew J. West is a Bangkok-based writer who has written extensively about Thai art, and is also a writer of art fiction. He is author of Prateep Kochabua: Destiny to Imagination (2013) and the forthcoming Contemporary Thai Directory of Artists. His art fiction novel Silpa: the Art of Love (Ruk Nai Roy Silp) was published in the Thai language in 2008, and his short stories have appeared in Eastlit. His first art exhibition of “photo-poetry” will be shown at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) in January-February 2014. West was born in 1967 in Armidale, Australia, and studied writing and journalism at the University of Western Sydney (UWS), graduating with an MA (Writing), and has been living in Thailand since 2003. West is currently teaching at the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) and has guest lectured in art criticism at Silpakorn University.
David Michael Joseph
David Michael Joseph is an Author, poet, and filmmaker from New Jersey, now living in Los Angeles and has a passion for story telling and poetry and often infuse the two into his filmmaking. Dave has made four short films including Shadows of Sepulveda and C.A.k.E., which have made the festival circuit.
David is the author of the novel Exodus from the River Town published by Shook Up publishing. Isaac Tan
Isaac Tan is currently an undergraduate at NUS reading Philosophy and Theatre Studies. He has previously appeared in Eunoia Review and Symbal Magazine. He hopes to be a professional actor and blogs infrequently at prelude.blogspot.com and isaactanbr.wordpress.com .
Jean-Luc Bouchard
Jean-Luc Bouchard originally hails from New Hampshire. He is a student of English, Music, and Asian Studies at Vassar College.
Kousik Adhikari
Kousik Adhikari is a research scholar. His widely published work consisting of critical essays, translations and creative writings. His poems are published in such reputed journals like Indian Review, The Literary Yard, The Applicant, Indian Ruminations etc.
Piya Chakrabarti
Piya Chakrabarti, from India, is a writer, poet and visual artist, a student of Universal vibrations, a formerly enthusiast of classical dance, embroidery and gardening, a connoisseur of Etymology and Linguistics, an ardent lover of Nature & music, and a God-abiding personage. She is currently pursuing a Master degree in Pure Mathematics from Jadavpur University. She has made a thorough comeback with her creativity after 6 years of rigorous scientific studies, in 2013. Her writings\art have been published in Ken again literary magazine,cyberwit‘s “Taj Mahal Review” and “The harvest of the new millennium”, Dyuti, THE TELEGRAPH, Child Rights and You (CRY) “Anti-labour day Analysis Report”, Blood Lotus Journal, Youth Ki Awaaz,Eastlit magazine, Contemporary Literary Review India(CLRI) and many writings are under consideration by many journals of repute in India and abroad.
Her persistent dream from childhood is to become an author. Her mother is a doctor, and father, a mechanical engineer. Though hailing from a scientific background, she has cultivated the classic English and Hindi literatures throughout her childhood. After a dalliance with prose-poetry for some time, she continues to write in the classical, lyrical, well-cherished format of poetry. She is influenced to a great degree by the Wilkie Collins’ genre of novels, combining suspense and drama, and is currently working on one. She is overwhelmed by the encouraging responses of the literary circles within a few months of her association with them, and looking forward to deliver more artistic delights.
Robert Wexelblatt
Robert Wexelblatt is professor of humanities at Boston University’s College of General Studies. He has published essays, stories, and poems in a wide variety of journals, two story collections, Life in the Temperate Zone and The Decline of Our Neighborhood, a book of essays, Professors at Play; his novel, Zublinka Among Women, won the Indie Book Awards First Prize for Fiction. His most recent book is a short novel, Losses.
Rose Lu
Rose Lu (Bing hua) is a famous poetess. Her original name is Lu Lihua. She is currently an accountant in Maryland. She is the author of This is Love, and Roses by the Stream.
Her poems are beautiful, fluent and pure. The poet’s inspiration is clearly derived from nature. She always uses different natural elements in simple yet powerful images. Each poem is also a statement about her life, that has made readers nod, smile, and cry.
Ms.Lu’s poetry has won several awards. Her poem The Heart Of A Lotus won the Gold award in the “love story” world-wide Chinese poem contest in 2010; Her poems It’s Neither Frivolous Nor Drifty and A Fan won the Award on the theme of Belief in Love at the XXXI World Congress of Poets in 2011.
Steve Rosse
In 1988 Steve Rosse took a break from a career in the New York City film and television industry for a three-month holiday on Phuket, an island off the Western coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea.
He decided he liked Phuket more than he liked New York, and without any idea of what he’d do for a living, he took up residence on the island. He supported himself, and eventually his wife and children, for most of the next decade as a freelance journalist and columnist.
His column, “The Rock”, appeared in The Nation, Thailand’s Independent Newspaper, every Sunday for five years.
In 1997 he moved to Iowa for the surfing.
Tony Walton
Tony Walton is a Caribbean writer living in the Cayman Islands and have been published most recently in Whisperings Magazine, Mountain Tales Press, Burningword Literary Magazine, and Out of Our Magazine.
Valerie Wong
Valerie Wong was born in Toronto, grew up in Hong Kong and is currently studying international business at New York University. A self-proclaimed Third Culture Kid (TCK), she is at once a local and a foreigner wherever she goes.
Vasan Sitthket
Vasan Sitthiket has built his artistic career on confronting the establishment and addressing taboo social and political issues—both national and international. Vasan, who has become known as the country’s enfant terrible, was presented the Silpathorn Award (Thailand’s highest art award) in 2007 from Ministry of Culture’s Office of Contemporary Art and Culture.
